<lj:music>beyonce, naughty girl (GREAT music video btw...)</lj:music>

but on the up side, northwestern beat kansas. and my cousin showed up to the game, and then we met up and chatted for a while. it was a lot of fun to see him. i haven't seen him in like 3 years. so yeah, it was a good thing. also, i realize that sometimes, family can be hell-a annoying, but family is family, you know? so i guess i can learn to love 'em, especially the parental units. anywho...

i have pool auditions tomorrow. damn girl. that should be interesting. not having really practiced anything for like 5 weeks, it should suck like a whore. shit yo. i can't wait to make a fool of myself infront to dagon and bloom. anywho, i may be buying a bass clarinet (bruce-i should have bought one this summer...actually, anyone from mmf should understand that....AHHHHHHH!)

anywho, i'm going to bed to be well rested for auditions tomorrow, though i don't think it will make any difference...haha!

:)
~joel wallgren

<lj:music>mariah carey, loverboy remix (sad, huh?)</lj:music>

so yesterday was spent at pier 1 imports, crate and barrel, and linens n things. i love pier 1, i must say. 15% off with valid student id. it rocks. pictures of my room to come later. it just rocks my socks off! let's just say there's a love seat involved! but anyway, i'm having fun back in chicago. my cousin is coming out this friday to see northwestern play kansas. that should be interesting...and by interesting, i mean northwestern will lose again. other than that, my life is uneventful. i practiced yesterday...and man was that a joke. to all my music friends, i sounded like SHIT!!! it was so fucking bad. i want to cry. i can play for like 30 minutes, and then i get tired. oh well, that's what i get for "taking a break" after mmf. whatever. :) i guess i should go practice again, huh?

    <lj:music>mariah carey, i don't wanna cry</lj:music>

so today i arrived in evanston, illinois for the beginning of my sophmore year. i'm so excited. my roommate rocks the casbah, and i can't wait for classes to start. thanks to bruce for talking me into this. what a wonderful way to procrastinate! well, i haven't practiced in a while, so that's high on my to-do list. i'm so happy seeing all of my "college" friends. though i feel rather awkward not seeing my high school friends. i missed college friends over the summer, and high school friends over the school year. it's a wonderful passing off of tension and release, if that makes any sense. it is like 11:40 and i haven't slept at all. hopefully this journal will be more than a tool for procrastinating...but we shall see! hahaha!
